Prof.\, School of Public Policy\, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy\, Moscow\, Russia. Author of Academic Writing: Process\, Product and Practice (2015\, in Russ.)\, English for Public Policy\, Administration and Management (2015)\, Academic Vocabulary for Social Sciences (2016) and over 40 academic articles on academic writing methodology in Russian and English\,  promoting academic writing in Russia\, and teaching English for academic and professional purposes. She actively participates in the work of two groups\, one of which works on the issues of EAP in higher education\, and the other on establishing the Consortium of academic writing centers in Russia. She gives regular seminars and masterclasses in Russian universities on academic writing and the above issues in both languages.\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Duration of the course:\n38 academic hourse.\n\nLecturer:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVarvara Sosedova\n\n\n\n\nPhD\nMoscow State University of International Relations\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVarvara Sosedova graduated from Moscow Linguistic University in 2010 and earned a PhD in Philology from Moscow City Pedagogy University in 2015\, where she did research into connection between English language and culture. Varvara has a number of publications on linguistics and cultural science based on her PhD research. In 2009 Varvara joined Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO) where she is currently working as an English teacher for the faculty of international relations\, where she is responsible for Writing&Listening&Reading lessons for freshmen. She specializes in cognitive linguistics\, pragmatics\, English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). Varvara Sosedova also has a specialization in Economics from Moscow Aviation Institute\, which lets her apply project management techniques in the teaching process.\n\n\n\n\n
