NUST MISIS has entered Europe`s best universities ranking compiled by the Times Higher Education (T.H.E.).
This is the inaugural version of this European ranking; about 40% of the universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings are European, prompting the creation of this separate entity. NUST MISIS is among Russia`s 24 universities present in the Ranking. The University was placed in the 301+ group.
The European universities ranking is based on the methodology and results of the T.H.E. global ranking. T.H.E. World University Rankings is complied based on 13 indicators banded into 5 groups, reflecting key areas of excellence: education, research, citation, R&D, and internationalization.
NUST MISIS is the only Russian university present in the T.H.E. 20 World’s Best Small Universities Ranking-2016. In the global World University Rankings NUST MISIS is among the 801+ group.
In 2017, NUST MISIS has continued to strengthen its positions in world academic rankings. The University improved its position in the QS World University Ranking-2018, rising by 100 positions and entering the group of 501-550 among global universities. For the third year in a row, the university is demonstrating significant growth in the QS World University Rankings: since 2014 NUST MISIS has improved its position by 250 spots.
In 2017, for the first time, NUST MISIS entered the QS World University Rankings by Subject and is now featured in 4 of 46 subjects featured in this year`s edition: Engineering-Mineral & Mining, Materials Science, Physics & Astronomy, and Engineering-Mechanical, Aeronautical, & Manufacturing. Among these four subjects, NUST MSIS ranked best in Engineering-Mineral & Mining, taking 31st among all universities in the ranking. Among all of the university-participants of Project 5-100, NUST MISIS is the only university present in the Engineering-Mineral & Mining and Materials Science rankings.
Currently, NUST MISIS is among the top-100 universities in both the QS BRICS and the Emerging Europe & Central Asia Ranking. Among universities in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings, NUST MISIS was first in the “Organization of interaction between employers and students” indicator. The university earned the maximum 100 out of 100 possible points. Globally, only 7 universities have such results.
