December 13, 2016
The webinar will be held December 15, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 14:00 PM. The aim is to highlight some of the results and problems Russian scientific magazines face to enter the international Scopus database. The growth of publication activity indicators of Russian scientists and experts, as reported by data of global Scopus and Web of Science citation indices, requires quality improvement of Russian scientific periodicals and their compliance with international publishing standards.
Speaker: Olga Kirillova,
Director of the NP NEICON training-and-Consulting Center, PhD (Economics), Scopus DB expert-consultant, Moscow, Russia. NP NEICON (Non-Profit Partnership “National Electronic Information Consortium”) intends to collect information on journals, including their global index citation, by creating a catalog of journals which will also include different quality factors.
For Russian journals to grow in number in global indices at faster rates, their detailed citation monitoring in these databases is suggested as an option to sort out the most promising ones to prepare their entry into a database according to DB requirements. Examples of journals with good Scopus citation indices are provided.
We invite all those who interested in this subject to attend this webinar.
