ELTSociety was launched in the fall of 2019 as an international non-profit association for professionals interested in the field of English language testing for persons whose native language is not English. The theme of the conference is Crosscurrents: Proficiency Testing & Classroom Assessment. The conference will focus on both proficiency testing and classroom assessment, as well as the intersections, commonalities, and differences that characterize these practices.  The sessions will include presentations on timely topics such as test designs, formative and summative assessments, and students’ evaluations.

The conference will feature two keynote speakers, Dr. Micheline Chaloub-Deville and Dr. Shahrzad Saif. Dr. Micheline Chalhoub-Deville is a Professor of Educational Research Methodology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) and she will be speaking about Large-Scale Tests And Evolving Constructs.
