The NATE Umbrella Conference took place on 26-28 September 2019 in Nizhny Novgorod. The plenaries, lectures, and workshops were held at the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Education Development and the Higher School of Economics.
Academic Writing University Center Director Elena Bazanova and Senior Lecturer of the AWUC Center Leticia Medina both took part in the conferences.
Leticia Medina, English Language Fellow at NUST MISiS was invited to present a workshop on Semiotics on Friday, 27 September.
Leticia’s workshop was accompanied by a lesson plan that attendees were welcome to implement in their own language classrooms. The workshop attendees were engaged and contributed to the fun, thought-provoking discussions about the role of semiotics in the teaching and learning of language.
Leticia looks forward to connecting with educators from across Russia during her fellowship at NUST MISiS.
